Certified Financial Planner
I am a Certified Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association by diploma and a Qualified Financial Adviser. I joined the Financial Services business in 1985 and have worked at senior management level both in Ireland and the UK with a number of leading life companies prior to setting up Optimum Pensions Company (now Lifestyle Financial Planners) in 1997. I’m a strong advocate of continuous professional development and completed my Masters in Finance & Risk Management through UCD in 2015 with a 1st class honours.

Qualified Financial Advisor
I am a Ballina native, now living in Crossmolina with my daughter Aoibheann. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law & Taxation from Letterkenny Institute of Technology and graduated from NUI Galway with a Masters in Law, Technology & Governance in 2011. I completed my QFA in 2022. I love travelling and even spent a year working in the Emerald Isle Immigration Centre in New York in 2012. I joined Lifestyle Financial Planners in 2019 and love it. Aside from the human side of the business, I actually love all the paperwork and dealing with all the administration, and God knows, there’s plenty of that.

I am involved full-time as part of the team since 2008 and ad-hoc in the family business for years, prior to this. I an a QFA with a BA (Honours) in Business in Insurance Practice.

Financial Advisor
I started my career with Bank of Ireland Group Treasury in 1989 before moving to Mayo as a Senior Bank Official where I spent 7 years and attained my Financial Services Degree. I am a QFA and a Chartered Banker. After moving to New York, I worked as a paralegal before joining Northwestern Mutual in 2003, where I worked as an Associate Financial Planner. Having returned to Ireland, I got the opportunity to join Lifestyle Financial Planners and love helping solve clients financial issues.
